Does Sims 2 University run on Windows 7?

Hey guys. Well i just bought universty and i run win 7. I remember my friend trying to install it but it didn't work. I also checked the back and it said it can only run on Win XP and below. Is it true?

I already have all the other expanshins and they work perfectly. So the link doesn't help.
