Ok, well i recently built a computer and had vista put on it. I use wireless internet and a realtek 8185 extensible 802.11b/g wireless device and a netgear wndr3300 router and i could connect to the internet. i upgraded to windows 7 and can no longer connect, while my vista laptop still can. My friends laptop has windows 7 and also cannot connect, but when i look at the microsoft website is says that my router is fully supported for 7. btw, i can connect to the network but have no internet access. Does anyone know whats going on here?
thanks, Ahren

\Hi and welcome

Its a driver. what ever driver you used in vista that worked will work in win 7. you just need to install it in compatibility mode. right click the installer>properties>compatibility check vista

Just click where it says Latest Firmware Version which does add a certificate for Windows 7 support so you will need it. http://kb.netgear.com/app/products/model/a_id/2612

  1. Fixed IE8 firmware upgrade issue.
  2. Disable DFS channel.
  3. Fixed download failure with certain some ISPs
  4. Fixed 5G wireless disconnect issue when dual-band mode.
  5. Fixed for WIN7 certification support.
