Mutiple C:\ Drive Icons in my user folder

I have this problem with three C:\ Drive Icons in my user folder
IMAGE
They are not in my C:\Users\Daniel folder


Does anyone know how to get rid of them? I can't delete them.

Could you tell us what is the error message your getting when you delete it ??

There is no error message, there is no option to even delete it, can't drag it to the recycle bin.

I installed FlashGet earlier today and it must have done it. It is just anoying.

I uninstalled it too, download managers are overrated.

Its quiet fishy that FlashGet would do something like that. Try to remove using Unlocker make sure in the list it just say that shortcut if you have more that one application list don't delete it.

Well, I'll keep trying things they are not shortcuts they are exactly what would be in the Computer folder.

Maybe something in Disk Managment Can help.

Maybe it's a good idea to do a System Restore

Captain's idea of a System Restore is a good one.

They are just links to the C drive? If you click on one, it opens C, right?

If drives are showing up inside a folder on another volume, there must be something corrupt in the system files somewhere. Open a command prompt as the administrator and type in:

sfc /scannow

Let it search, and tell us what is says.

You may also consider a Repair Install.

Have you tried to delete them in safe mode ? That will tell you if Windows put them there or something else did.

maybe try deleting all of the folders then restore the defaults using Brinks tut here ?
