there is no win7 os after i installed xp

i have installed windows 7 before and it was working well i want to install windows xp sp3 so i installed it in another drive but in the os choice menu there is no win 7
but in my hard disk it is showing
is there anything so that i can use both xp sp3 and win7
plz help

Hi and welcome

Normally xp is installed first and when win 7 is installed it makes a boot menu. You can replicate it by using bcdedit. there is a tutorial for its use here http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/2676-bcdedit-how-use.html?ltr=B

thanks for u r help but now i have only xp installed in my pc and windows 7 is only in a drive it is not showing any name as windows 7 at os choice menu

You will need to follow Method Two from step 7 onwards.

Boot from your Windows 7 DVD, and on the second screen select "Repair this computer" (in the lower left of the screen as I recall).

Let Windows 7 fix things and hopefully it'll identify everything. If not, post back and we'll walk you through it manually.
