Today, my new external hard drive arrived (Samsung Story Station 1TB), so now I am doing my Acronis backup on it, and pondering whether I should look into image backups too.....now that I have plenty of space to play with.

Today after I snipped zigzag3143's (Ken J) 10k post,

My internet went down.

I called cable co. waited on hold for 30 mins. Tech gal said I can not find anything wrong with your end or our end of the system. She said she would send a service tech out.
I waited 4 & a half hours. Never showed up So another science experiment. I disconnected all the TV connections & connected my 2 month old Linksys Cable modem directly to the incoming cable line via a double female adapter.
Bingo Instant internet connection
The splitter that the cable co. supplies to split the signal from TV's to cable modem had died again

Oh No, it must have been that 1.21 jiggawatts that zapped my system again

ajulian.. 1st.. eat your meals..that helps you to think clear.. get the rest you need that helps you to say healthy..
You need both of these in your life right now.Try to think positively.. you won't be in this place forever.. once you have passed your exams you can find a better job.. with better pay .. if you get to attend the briefings at your work place.. others see your work.. they will know who did it.. NOT your boss that's taking credit from your hard work.. I know it isn't easy to have that happening now..
I'm guessing you are too tired tonite to think straight..nor to take a test that needs a excellent grade..take it one day at a time.. YOU will progress and do better.. that's why you are in college....and working to try to make a better life for yourself.

Today is traditional day to plant potatoes. St. Patrick's Day. Frost on the ground, clouds in the sky no sunshine, where is spring? Better have a look at the Farmers Almanac. I am hesitant. Oldest granddaughter (10) home because its spring break says " You said we always plant on St Patrick's Day" Huh! We plant taters today.

I have been at voluntary workplace to-day. I have brought Windows 7 Ultimate full version for 43.00 pounds from ebay. I will get installed over the weekend hopefully and won't have Windows XP or Windows 7 RC installed anymore.

Today I installed my new wireless USB adapter, and what a revelation......no signal dropouts, and faster page loading. This should do wonders for my reliability index score, getting rid of the crappy old adapter.

I never really used Vista, so i started here on SF. Anyway, i aint really counting spending as much time over there, as i do here

Today I demonstrated my Chess program.

It didn't have everything I wanted to implement in. Like I didn't manage to implement piece obstruction, so every piece could jump over any piece that was in its path, and I didn't add in check, checkmate, castling and en-passant, and only 1 version of Pawn promotion was (cheaply) implemented, so with them few things I dropped marks on, I managed to gain marks back with how well and clean my interface was implemented, and got 100% for it
