I might disagree with the FireFox one, but that's only because I disabled most of the add-ons with mine. Pretty funny, though.

That's what I don't get about the comment, you don't need to install them to run it, and if you've disabled all yours, that's because you installed what you didn't need.

Chrome has fun faster in some tests, but being here in the bandwidth poor U. S., I doubt that it makes a big difference.

I remember testing "@Home" cable network when they first came out. We were about 3 miles from the headend, and got a rock solid 10M down and up. You could easily see who was running their sites off T-1s, fractional T-1, or T-3s. There's still a lot of that going around in the States - due in part to density (a lot less than S. Korea) and in part to the provider's lack of foresight.

I'm paying through the nose for 6M down and 768K up (more like 5.13 down and 650K up after the overhead, etc.) and am happy for it.

Random factoid - AOL still has a load of dial-up (56K) users. Think they can see a difference?

bet they can if they use Opera, turbo actually makes a real difference on dialup, as i found out when i was forced to use my 3g dongle when my internet died last month, and i dont live in a 3g area, despite living less than 2 miles away from the biggest town in my area.... so dialup only for me

As I have said before, the people that don't like Opera because of it's looks, don't learn how to make it look the way that they want it to. I guess they think that it should fit their taste right out of the box. Chances are, their taste is simply the result of being acclimated to others by years of exposure, and little choice.

It really is. Sure, it can be made that way, but that would be a PEBKAC issue, not a Firefox issue.

LOL very very funny, I was saddened seeing Opera being shown as a smart car considering i despise those little things.
