Docking WMP

Have MS removed the ability to dock wmp into the taskbar like you could with vista? I thought that was rather nice feature.

It should be automatically docked upon installation.

Nah thats the new win7 pinned wmp. Im talking about the vista docking way with the media controls showing on the taskbar.

Now that you have bought my attention to it WMP seems to be severely limited in options department

Also rather annoying is the fact when you minimize media player and launch another music file from a folder for example, media player jumps back into view on the desktop rather than stay minimized.....humph!!!

Maybe that is the new docking method because you can pause, forward and rewind with it.

You're not. It's the "now playing" list, not a playlist. Right click a music file when WMP is not running and select it and it starts playing that song without showing the WMP window. Do the same while WMP is playing something and it will play it next.

How did you get the Take Ownership option?
Having multiple Drives with 5 operating systems and 3 versions of Seven, a take ownership option would save a lot of hassle.

Yes thats true but not if i want to change what im listening too mid song....anyway thats not the point we want it to work in the tray as it did in vista!!!
