way to clean all intel drivers?

Like drive sweeper does for ati and nvidia. I have a netbook and Its gone from regular drivers to mod back to regular. The point its at when I uninstal it asks for a file in a specific location. I can get it uninstalled, but I need to clean it out. I dont have a usb dvd drive so I cannot reformat it, and the built in recovery no longer works for some reason. Is there anything I can do for a complete sweep of drivers for the IGP? This is totally driver removal, and nothing to actually do with my IGP, which has no issues. I just wanna clean it up because it was lagging horribly weird lately.

Not sure whether i understand the post completely. But you can do the following.

1) Do a regular cleanup AND a registry cleanup with CCleaner (Download it, its free). Use default settings.

2) Then update all your drivers.

3) If 1) and 2) dont help, do a repair install. Heres how.

Its an old xp netbook, and a netbook does not have a cd drive so I cannot reformat which I have said in my first post. I mentioned no recovery. I would love to put w7 on here but it doesnt like it. I have w7 on my desktop, which is why I figured id just ask here. Its just driver related, it doesn't really need to differ by OS.

In that case, other than the Repair Install option in my earlier post, you can still do the rest i.e. uninstall with revo, cleanup with ccleaner and update your drivers.

Other than that get an external dvd drive and reformat and fresh install.

I did ccleaner before you mentioned and reinstalled a few things. Seems to be getting better already. Gonna keep on fixing stuff up. Any other suggestions are good.

BTW, you think 7 home basic would be enough for this? I plan to buy a usb dvd drive soon to fixx this either way. Plus its nice to have. It didnt like RC2 beta w7 but i think the finished product will run ok.

Regarding Win7 home basic, AFAIK, it is available only in emerging markets like Brazil, China, India, Pakistan, Mexico etc. You appear to be located in the USA, so doubtful that you can get your hands on one. There are also some geographical activation restrictions in Home basic, so even if you are able to get a copy, you may not be able to activate it. Some Aero options are also missing in Home basic.

So you can go for the Home Premium edition. Its perfectly suitable for home users, its actually aimed at the home market with features like aero and media center.

What version of Win7 you get totally depends on what you plan on using it for. For example, if you plan on using virtualization software such as XP Mode, you need Professional or Ultimate. Such is the same w/ Bitlocker Encryption and some of the other "business type" advanced tools. If you want to see the differences between them all:

Yea I know but the last time i had 7 on it, it BSOD'd a lot. It was RC2 though. Infact if it was not for windows 7 I would have never messed up the recovery on this netbook.
