How Do I Change The Colour of The Toolbars?

I searched endlessly for this topic and didn't find a solution that worked.

One of the many problems I've been having since I bought Windows 7 is that I am not able to change from that hideous light blue colour on every toolbar. Does anyone know how to change the colour on that thing without losing the new glassly themes? I really hate the look of the light blue scheme with Windows 7, so I'm hoping someone out there knows how to fix it!

Right click on the desktop, go to personalize.

I'm afriad that doesn't work, keep in mind that I'm trying to change the colour of the toolbar ... the bars that say 'File' 'Edit' 'View', etc.

You'll need a new theme

That bar is not changed by themes, it is always that colour.

I just switched back to Windows from Linux because I got fed up with the lack of games on Linux, (Although Ubuntu is a great OS) but I am missing the fact that Linux is EXTREMELY customizable and changing the colour on the toolbars was something you could easily do. I wonder why Windows decided to tie the hands of their customers in this way.

It seems as though Microsoft will give you some new features in Windows 7, yet hold back on some other obvious features. Perhaps this is one of the things that will help them sell Windows 8 .. :sarc:

Does anyone know if this feature is at least available in Windows 7 Ultimate?

I also dont have ... look at the snipshots I posted. Custom themes (not aero themes) can change the toolbar colors, Bob pal

I also didn't know that you could change it through a theme, so perhaps I am wrong. I have just never seen it done.
