The concept is to change the graphic file in OOBE.

Now let's see if I can find any notes on this.
I did this one my Toshiba.
I assume you are not talking about any display generated by the BIOS but rather by Win 7.

Go to c:\Windows\system32\oobe
Rename background.bmp to background.pmb (or whatever you like)
Replace background.bmp with the background of your choice, just convert it to a bmp and rename it background.bmp.

I think I recollect that only the name background is important and that you can actually use a jpg file but I won't swear by it.

My problem is that awhile back I did a 100% reinstall and haven't worried with replacing the background since then.

Does this help?

Sorry about that.

Do not know the solution to that one.

Perhaps, just perhaps, the Toshiba folks have an answer for you but I fear that what you are seeing is being displayed by the bios during power on self-test (POST).

I don't think so mate. what you mean is the Brand which is the BIOS splash screen right?. That thing splash in second and to modify it just so your eyes comfortable to see might not be a good idea. It system BIOS and i don't recommend you to do it. Cheers mate:)

It's possible there is an option in BIOS, in the boot options, to turn off boot splash screen, or similar, but if so, you would probably now see your BIOS boot information instead (not a bad thing if ever need to troubleshoot boot issues). A Guy

Thx dude...
This means that if we can turn on/off the boot splash screen that it must be somewhere on the computer = > we have to find out where !

Not in the computer, in the BIOS itself. The BIOS chip on the MB has this as part of it's programming, you can't alter it. A Guy

No, I think he is talking about the first screen. Like 'Tobisha', or 'eMachines'.

Is that correct?

I must say, I had googled some links about altering boot screen in BIOS, but if you screw up the Bios, you are totally... Rather than suggest such, I felt best I go with "you can't alter it". Frankly, to alter an image that shows for a few seconds on startup, well.. To each his own :). A Guy

Wow, I seem to be one of the only people who got it.

Yeah, I myself think that if your only seeing it for a few seconds - its not worth the possible damage, but if it works for you I'm certainly thinking of doing it maself. ;)

As far as I know, that is not part of windows but I was thinking the same thing with my Toshiba. You see, I have two computers. For some reason I feel that every thing should match perfectly (except I cant seem to figure out how to have it automatically sync files (please help me with that if possible) but that's not the point.) But like you have seen above, Its in the bios not on windows 7.
