While in opera computer starts going hay wire. Mouse gets jumpy with an hour glass popping up and is suddenly unresponsive for a few nanoseconds.

NOT NORMAL! Epic fail when gaming!

First symptoms: unresponsive mouse during game. Screen blackouts during game. Dunno if it was dropping frames before or what. I have never seen that before. The screen would just flicker black for a few seconds.

Unusual task manager trigger; It stops doing whatever it is doing when task manager is opened.

I know there is a site, but I do not remember where. I used to download a program and it listed processes to them and they could see things that were wrong.

Wait, I just remembered that the iobit 360 program does that.

BRB; ...

iobit 360 finds 6 threats during scan. Hopefully it finds all of them.

It has been so long since I've had a virus I forgot about it while testing AVG.

Hope this is helpful to someone anyways.

Hi, HellionDarklord.

Based on IOBit's past practices, I wouldn't run it on my computer. See the following for additional information:
-- IOBit Steals Malwarebytes' Intellectual Property
-- IOBit’s Denial of Theft Unconvincing
-- IOBit Theft Conclusion

If your computer has not returned to normal, I suggest a scan with MBAM: Download Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware to your desktop.

  • Double-click mbam-setup.exe and follow the prompts to install the program.
  • At the end, be sure a checkmark is placed next to Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, then click Finish.
  • If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version.
  • Once the program has loaded, be sure Quick scan is selected, then click Scan.
  • When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.
  • Be sure that everything is checked, EXCEPT items in System Restore as shown in this sample:
    MBAM_SR.png
  • Click Remove Selected.

the Process explorer seems a nice bit of software at first glance. Why does windows 7 not come with this program natively?

Hitman Pro might find something. Try it with and without Force Breach mode. If it finds anything, you can activate a 30 day trial and it will remove it for you.

How does Hitman Pro compare to Emsisoft Anti-Malware? I am running the trial and noticed that when monitoring system usage compared to Avast & Comodo, it is more taxing on my system.

It does (most of it anyway). You can get to it from the task manager, Performance tab, [Edit]"Resource Monitor"[/edit].

It's actually the same code as Process Explorer but with a Windows 7 UI on it. Though there are some of the more tweaky drill-downs missing, there is still a ton of info about everything your machine is doing under there :)

Are you running Emsisoft real-time? Hitman Pro is purely on-demand, for now. It only scans for active threats but it is very good at it, in my opinion. (Long read. Edit: Not as long as I originally thought.) You can read exactly how it works in the Command-Line Reference: http://www.surfright.nl/en/downloads/business

This was a program initially made by System Internals. MS bought the software? As it is very in-depth, these programs are not for general users. They allow you to kill just about any program (some AV wont stop through this)

I use this on my systems as well as Autoruns: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb963902.aspx

Look through all thier programs there is a lot of great stuff in the suite Sysinternals Suite

Edit: Correction: ProcExplorer is a good interface, it does the same as Windows Taskmanager. (I feel it is easier to find info through ProcExplorer)
