Can you recommend an alternative to TrueCrypt that is easy to use and will protect my notebook @ start-up? p.s. It does not need to be Military quality, just enough to thwart my coworkers.

Well, there is McAfee Endpoint, but you are going to pay a penny for it.

I don't know if Bitlocker has a preboot feature in it or not.

Shalom, thanks for that. I was thinking something along the lines of free, if possible. I do not think I can use Bitlocker with Home Premium

You are correct, it has to be Windows 7 Ultimate or Enterprise to use BitLocker / AppLocker; below is an SKU chart.

What exactly do you want to do? If you want to deny access to your coworkers to a drive or particular folders, you can just edit permissions in the properties of the drive or folders.
