2nd favorite version of Windows

We all know that everyone's favorite version of Windows is 7, but which of the full releases are your guy's favorite? My personal 2nd favorite is XP.

i have 2 XP rigs which i have not powered up in about 8 months.... its still a very functional OS.... (for an office )

Vista here too. Although W95 for the wow factor at the time - certainly not for the stability though

Have to Say that I have not felt as comfortable with a Microsoft OS, as I do with Windows 7, since the heady days of Windows 2000, Gave us NT heads a bit of eye candy but basically, like 7, it just worked.

XP was too "cartoon like " a UI for me, first thing I do still when I work on a copy is set classic theme, and vista was good but a few niggles just drop it into 3rd

Like Barman, I didnt like the luna interface either so first thing I usually did was to customise it.

I still have a soft spot for windows 95

Do you have a problem with the opinion of others?

Or do you just have a problem with Vista, if so can you elaborate on what exactly it is that's so bad about Vista?

W7 does everything that vista does except better and faster, didn't think there was any disagreement about that. This is why I'm struggling to see things from your POV.

Some may say that, but it all depends on your hardware and with my specs I don't notice the difference in speed really and ATM I still can't play all my games on Windows 7 because of the thing with Punk Buster, but as soon as it's RTM then it will become my favourite as all those little bugs will be sorted out and hopefully there will be even more improvements.

Fair enough. I would've thought though, if games were your poison you'd still be on XP?
