Were they using the diesel engines again this year, Joan?

I can't be sure but I think they were, I believe the car that came 4th was a petrol, don't quote me on that though. Here's a report I've just found.

Our neighbor back in Solingen, the local pub owner, is a car collector. He has two Lamborghinis, some Porsches, some really beautiful oldtimers etc. He called a moment ago asking when are we coming over there next time, he would like to show something. Because the problems with my mother-in-law's health, I told him I'm not sure.

He was so keen to show the newest addition to his collection, bought yesterday, he then send a photo to my mobile phone. It's a Mercedes Benz 220 S, from my birth year 1959:



Two other goodies from his collection. First, a beautiful BMW from 1962, I took the photo at an oldtimer rally in our village two years ago, I was participating as a co-driver:



And my older son Teemu ready to take a spin with my friends Lamborghini Diablo from 1996:

Hello Lady, where I live on the Peninsula, we are between the Pacific and S.F. Bay, we don't get hot THAT often (seems like more last few years, global warming indeed), so most homes in this area don't have AC. But usually after 2 or 3 days of heat, the fog comes in along the coast, and it cools down. Born and raised here, and lived here my whole life. It's like the 3 Bears, not too cold, not too hot, juuuust right I hope you keep cool and can sleep tonight. Take care, A Guy

A Guy sounds simply peeeerrrrrfect.. a place I could easily get used to. ..
however I do so love Fla. as well ...along the westewrn side near.. Destin... so gorgeous there... I used to take my daughter in July annually.. we would spend a week ... meet friends with children her age.. we would also take a child who was a friend of my daugher's along to enjoy ..Fla...until she graduated high school ..then off to college ,that was the ending of the Fla summer jaunts.. her DAD went only once with us.. we kept going back.. he preferred being home....
