Let's just sit back and wait for another crash. Hopefully the driver update did the trick.

Here is a summary of the error codes from your latest dumps:
BugCheck 50 Usual causes: Defective hardware (particularly memory - but not just RAM), Faulty system service, Antivirus, Device driver, NTFS corruption, BIOS

BugCheck 24 Usual causes: Disk corruption, insufficient physical memory, Device driver, Indexing, Resident antivirus, backup, defrag programs, Disk/Drive failing/failure

BugCheck 1A (2 instances) Usual causes: Device driver, memory, kernel

BugCheck 19 Usual causes: Device driver

BugCheck D1 Usual causes: Device driver
All of these relate to hardware. Do you have Catalyst Control Center installed?

The answer is yes; but sometimes it causes problems; it is associated with video management. Like Jonathan, I am wondering if the problem is stemming from you video card. It was just a thought. If you don't have it installed that is well and good. I was going to ask you to uninstall it. I just saw that you have an Intel graphics card; so never mind.

Since this problem is hardware related and you have tested your RAM, I recommend that you test your CPU - Do a CPU stress test using Prime95.

Have you unzipped the files yet? After you unzip the files, click on the exe file. A window will pop up and you can select "Just testing". Another Window will pop up giving you you the testing options. It will be set to blend by default. I ran mine using the blend default. Let it run for at least 24 hours.

I suggest that you read the readme.txt and the stress.txt files before you begin.

I am running the program now, it has been running since 20.00. I have already had 3 crashes.. I am kinda confused about this progarm. I don't understand how it works. It is supposed to run for 24 hours, but it already says 'Trial factoring M74132171 to 2^66 is 72.81% complete'
Does it write a text file or something, somewhere with info about what is happening and what has happened?

Yes, it does create a report. You should be able to the boxes on your screen where it is recording the test.

I will get help from someone who is more proficient than I with Prime to give you advice.

It will generate a report at the end. If it has crashed three times already chances are good that there is a memory problem.

We here recommend memtestx86 over prime for several reasons. I suggest you try downloading memtest, burn it to a cd< and run it for at least 5 passes with only one memory stick in. If it passes (no errors) then run each other stick by it self. After that you still need to check the mobo slots one at a time.

It is a long involved process, but the only was to know for sure what the exact problem is.

Try this free stress test: Free Software - GIMPS
Prime95 Setup:
- extract the contents of the zip file to a location of your choice
- double click on the executable file
- select "Just stress testing"
- select the "Blend" test. If you've already run MemTest overnight you may want to run the "Small FFTs" test instead.
- "Number of torture test threads to run" should equal the number of CPU's times 2 (if you're using hyperthreading).
The easiest way to figure this out is to go to Task Manager...Performance tab - and see the number of boxes under CPU Usage History
Then run the test for 6 to 24 hours - or until you get errors (whichever comes first).
The Test selection box and the stress.txt file describes what components that the program stresses.

If that doesnt help let us know

Ken

I am not really involved in this thread, but I do know a large number of computer problems are caused by tweaking and BSOD is no exception. Since you came here for help, I will give you the best that I know how. Windows 7 is a great OS, Microsoft has trained experienced people for years to write the program. Leave it alone, for years of happy surfing. That was my help you are free to use it or leave it. Just wanted to present the best help that I know how.

Rich and Tews are spot on.

There is little you can do to Windows to speed it up. Windows 7 is a brand new operating system that is completely different than XP or even Vista. The old tricks we learned about XP do not apply to Windows 7. Forget everything you learned about XP.

Third party enhancing programs are pure snake oil. At best they will do nothing; at worst they will mess up your system. [FONT=&quot]Windows is a closed source system. Developers of these programs do not have the core code of Win 7 and are not working on definitive information, but rather they are going on past knowledge and experience. It is guess work - and so far, no one has developed an enhancing or speed up program that will actually work with Win 7.

That is great news! Be sure to keep us updated.

Just a thought, but could this be what caused me the BSOD's?
I wanted to make my Acer Aspire One, as fast as possible.
Windows 7 Services that can be Safely Set to MANUAL - Tweaking with Vishal
So i followed some guides, to speed it up. Now I have restored default settings, and haven't had a crash yet.

You may well have diagnosed and solved your problem. :)
