Yes,I remember.It slipped my mind.Sorry.

I missed part of your post.

By the way looking at your Services, looks you're disabling things by security settings purposes...be aware of that.

Saw that for Net.TcpPortSharing...

Another Thing i remember...was the "Windows Features" to turn On or Off...What's about that now (it gaves you some troubleshots)

Did you solved that one?

-Check all boxes in "Windows Process Activation Service"
-Check only the "Microsoft.Net FrameWork 3.5.1" box, not the others one...when you scroll the list.
-Uncheck "Internet Printing Client" (unless you really needs it)

I'm sorry for your driver atikmdag.sys error...

As Optionnal:

-Check the box "Indexing Service" even if its indicated for older Operating System
-Check the box "Windows Tiff IFilter" as you checked the box Windows Fax & Scan in "Print and Document Services". This is for OCR if you plan using Text recognization with a scanner: "Omnipage" software for exemple.

That's all for "Windows Features"!!!:D

EDIT:
-Check the box "Simple TCPIP Services" aswell!

Look in in Services for any ATI service and disable it. Operate for awhile to test performance.

Set a Restore Point then install CCC to see what changes. Operate with it installed for awhile to test performance.

OK, good news. That mean none of windows 7 crashed since you clean install.

Mean either no big worry from Ati...It must be something to do, that made the driver to trigger only half-way.

You could try now what gregrocker suggested and as i already said to you either, try again C.C.C. from the Acer driver install to perform a test.

I installed Resident Evil 5.Ran a benchmark without CCC.

Installed CCC,and ra n another benchmark.

Benchmarks remained pretty-much the same with Direct-X 9.It ran at a higher FPS than Direct-X 10.(With or wtithout CCC)

Direct-X 10 version ran at half the FPS when benchmarked with CCC than without it.

The same errors remain in Event Viewer.

There is also one that has repeated wich indicates failed attemps to update MSE.Yet when I manually update MSE there are no issues. So far I think there are three insidences of this.

Sorry I could't get around to posting results sooner.

Question:Is it safe to use Restore as my primary safety-net?What I mean is ,will constantly creating and restoring these points cause any significant wear on hard disk-SATA?

I am still very pleased with my OS.Runs like the proverbial well-oiled sewing-machine.:p

I think Imaging your hard drive would probably be your best option. If I'm understanding you correctly.

If you Google that MSE error you will link to the fix: you have to delete a file from within its Program File so it regenerates. I don't know the exact file but have Googled the error to resolve the error several times in past.

Have you read everything on the web for both of the ATI errors?

Thanks,electrotune1200.

I believe heavily in creating system images. There is nothing better for me:geek:.

I didn't know if making restore points often and then reverting back to them would cause undue wear.I mean it is a disk.Stands to reason that at sometime this will wear out?Is there a life expectancy on a HDD?

Hi there!

Restore point are not enough, just good when you made a mistake! Hdd can live shorter or longer depend how you do care and i suppose how it works during heavy tranfert of files.
