A cup of coffee is about the same as drinking a can of Red Bull
I don't drink tea nor coffee. Might drink two or three energy drinks a week. Mainly Lucozade, which is pretty much just sugar.
I've heard stories about Red Bull being a bi-product of a fuel that was being researched for Forumla 1 cards  Whether that's true or not, I don't know. I can't stand the taste of it after a few mouth fulls.

...Mostly some sort of glucose/sugar in them.
...high Caffeine concentration...
I researched these pretty thoroughly when I was working as a Personal Trainer and that's about all there is to them, at least all that does anything, anyway. You can get the same effect from a cup of coffee with an extra spoonful or three of sugar - and for a lot less money.caffeine
caffeine
caffeine...
Red Bull not used for hydration.
Gatorade and drinks like that are used for sports. Replaces the salt you lose by sweating. IMO

Energy Drinks = Stay away from them.
There's nothing they can offer that healthy living and plenty of water can't
Healthy Living = Early to bed, early to rise, 8 to 10 glasses of water a day and a balanced diet with physical work.
