High energy drinks are not good for you. Mostly some sort of glucose/sugar in them.
Drink water- 8 glasses a day
Exercise daily
Get plenty of rest. 7-8hrs
Be happy with who you are.

Now for a coffee :p

A cup of coffee is about the same as drinking a can of Red Bull :p

I don't drink tea nor coffee. Might drink two or three energy drinks a week. Mainly Lucozade, which is pretty much just sugar.

I've heard stories about Red Bull being a bi-product of a fuel that was being researched for Forumla 1 cards  Whether that's true or not, I don't know. I can't stand the taste of it after a few mouth fulls.

caffeine...
I researched these pretty thoroughly when I was working as a Personal Trainer and that's about all there is to them, at least all that does anything, anyway. You can get the same effect from a cup of coffee with an extra spoonful or three of sugar - and for a lot less money.

(Assuming you're making the coffee at home and not springing four lousy dollars for a cup of Starbucks...)

Water and appropriate sports drinks should be used for rehydration as outlined in the NFHS Document “Position Statement and Recommendations for Hydration to Minimize the Risk for Dehydration and Heat Illness.”
Energy drinks should not be used for hydration.

In a study published last year in the Journal of Analytical Toxicology, Bruce A. Goldberger , director of toxicology at the University of Florida College of Medicine, tested the caffeine content of 10 energy drinks, including Red Bull, Red Devil, and Hair of the Dog.

In most energy drinks, he said, caffeine levels were higher than the FDA limit for sodas, which is 65 mg of caffeine per 12 ounces. The FDA does not regulate caffeine in energy drinks, some of which, like Cocaine, contain huge amounts of caffeine: 280 mg in an 8.4-ounce serving, compared with about 100 mg per 6 ounces in coffee.

It's banned in France because there are laws there that state how much caffeine can be in drinks like that.

Though you do need to do something active if you drink energy drinks, such as Red Bull. Try drinking a can or two and then just sit and do nothing. You won't feel all that well because you've just got two days worth of sugar dumped inside you and it isn't being burnt off.

The effects of drinking them kinds of drinks is pretty much the same affects as doing drugs such as heroin.

When you drink a can of Red Bull, for example. 10 teaspoons of sugar hit your stomach. The phosphoric acid cuts all the sweetness down stopping you from vomiting.

After 20 minutes, your blood sugar spikes, and causes an insulin burst. Your liver turns all this sugar in to fat. 40 minutes and all the caffeine is absorbed in to your body. Your blood pressure rises, the liver dumps more sugar in to the blood stream and your adenosine receptors are blocked preventing drowsiness. 45 minutes and your body ups the dopamine production that stimulates your brain, the same way heroin works. 60 minutes gone and the phosphoric acid binds the calcium, magnesium and zinc in your lower intestine, providing a boost to your metabolism. This is compounded by a high dose of sugar and increases the urinary excretion of calcium.

By now you'll need to pee. You'll clear your body of all the calcium, magnesium and zinc that was headed to your bones, as well as the sodium and water. You'll start to have a sugar crash and you'll have got rid of all the water in your body and all the nutrients in your body after you have been to pee.

This is why I'll stick to about 2 a week while working.

Energy Drinks = Stay away from them.

There's nothing they can offer that healthy living and plenty of water can't :)

Healthy Living = Early to bed, early to rise, 8 to 10 glasses of water a day and a balanced diet with physical work.
