Gamers, behold: a newer, slimmer Xbox

The Kinetic motion detector pack in the new Xbox 330 Slim is probably the USP of the product. This is the newest technology introduced by Microsoft and it pretty much does away with the conventional need to press buttons to play a game. Rather, this technology relies on detection of motion of the gamer for providing him the gaming experience. The presence of the Kinect makes the device a pretty good buy.

You do know that the red lights were removed from the 360 slim, right? That means its physically impossible to get a RROD.

I realize that, but we ARE talking about a Microsoft product... :D

My original 360 finally died a few months ago (with the RROD). Suprisingly, it was purchased on release date back in 2005. I was shocked it lasted so long, especially with the problems the first gen 360 had.

I didn't know they put on in the power symbol. I just knew they removed it from the ring.

"I need to make a warranty claim. I gotta RDOD."

Is this even worth the buy from a regular 360?

I don't plan on buying it, but if I had to buy another 360...well, I still wouldn't buy it if the store had a regular 360 (new or used) for a lower price, but thats just me. People buying for the first time or buying a replacement would probably be well off buying a the 360 slim if they didn't buy accessories that only work for the original 360.

it makes for a hell of a wireless media extender w/ the wireless-Ncard. But yea I wouldnt buy another just to buy it, I own 2 and they would both have to crap out w/ no fix before I buy another one.

Hmm I'm still skeptical over whether it will work properly and has fixed all the issues. Will give it a few months.
