call of duty - world at war is very slow on my
1 gb ram
2.66 ghz celeron cpu
my msi g41tm motherboard
and my at radeon hd 4300/4500 graphics card

(fresh install) windows 7 ultimate

please tell if its my hardware

Can you perhaps compare it to another game you have played on that same Computer. The Celeron CPU is definitely not for Gaming, is more of a work force than a Thoroughbred if you know what I mean. Today's games require at least 2GB's of good ram as well.

My recommendation? Install new Video and Audio drivers and don't let windows update change them... download from Manufacturer and not from windows update.

Check game requirements against your computer. Check another game to see if it does the same before and after upgrading drivers.

1 GB of RAM and a celeron CPU are barely enough for this game, consider upgrading

This is a good computer for office work and surfing the net - but definitely not for gaming with Win7. I would not bother to upgrade it but use it for what it was designed. Save the money towards a modern system designed for gaming, that will be a lot more fun.
