Hello,
I've been getting quite a few BSODs after installing windows 7(tried reformatting a few times still doesnt work) the past month or so. It usually happens when i play WoW or when i play music while playing a game, sometimes it just randomly crashes even when browsing the internet, but thats rarer. Sometimes i know when my computer is going to crash because my friends drop me from skype after apparently my mic going all screechy(even does this sometimes when i mute my mic). I think it might have something to do with my sound driver. Any solutions?

Thanks for reading.

There are so many possible causes.

Drivers-- Go into device manager

Please go to start>search>type device manager.
Are there any "unknown devices" with yellow triangles on them?
Is you driver there , listed, and working?

If your driver is missing, or there is a yellow triangle on it, you will need to update it.

A conflict between devices. Does it do this in safe mode?

A hardware conflict.

A corrupt system file-- Run system file checker

Run a system file check to verify and repair your system files.
To do this type cmd in search, then right click to run as administrator, then
SFC /SCANNOW

read here for more information http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/1538-sfc-scannow-command-system-file-checker.html

Let us know the results from the report at the end.

Thanks for all of the suggestions. I just did all of these and came up with no errors with the sfc scan. The devices are also fine. ( ive attached the Windows_NT6_BSOD_jcgriff2 file )

Ok my PC just crashed 4 times in a row within 1 hour could it possibly be overheating? some of my friends are saying that it is my video card..

"EDIT": I downloaded a program called Coretemp and ran it whille playing a game . my idle temp was at 55 and when i started playing the game it rose slowly then swiftly, and finally my computer crashed when the temps of my processor was 86,80 celsius. is that a little too high for an AMD Athlon 64 x2 6400+?
( im using the stock AMD fan)

Ill try to put this as nicely as I can. BSODs are a pain. In my opinion the worst two are BC 101 and 124. We will help all that we can, but it takes a lot of trial and error to get it right. If you took all the suggested tests, something should have shown. Be sure that each test was done correctly. For example, the memory test; at least 6 passes etc.
