Thanks Dave, I think you're right, the tutorial has had well over 200 views in less 10 hours, I think it's going to be another that gets viewed through the roof just like the AHCI tutorial, that makes all the work and testing worth it.

fwiw, i just updated my AHCI drivers to the AMDSata drivers applicable to my chipset (provided via the Dell support website) and there is negligible difference in my AS SSD score. So as far as this Kingston's concerned, the MS ones appear to be just as capable on this AMD board.

    Thanks for the feedback.

This has been mentioned before, but there's not very much info here on the AMD SATA drivers. This will help others with similar hardware.

    That's a bit too high.

    Performance 250MB/s READ, 200MB/s WRITE

Good solid sequential rates no question, but two of these in RAID0 will only double the numbers.

    Edit:
    Hmmm, looks oddly familar,

Can anyone explain why I'm getting completely inaccurate results in CrystalDiskMark with my new Crucial M225 256GB SSD drive?

i'm thinking crystaldisk measures in Mb not MB - bit vs byte. therefore divide those by 8 and you're about spot on.

BFK told me that I should post my SSD benchmarks here:
