Mouse and keyboard don't work past BIOS / windows 7 not booting up

Hello everyone, I've browsed and searched these boards far and wide for a solution but couldn't find a problem that was exactly like mine.

So, I'll start from the start. A few days ago I had the brilliant idea to open up my rig and clean it's insides of the dust that had built up. I unplugged the psu and cleaned every component piece by piece. Then, I put the pieces back in and tried to boot...no dice. I wasn't getting any display. What's worse is that I was smelled a burnt electrical smell and slight smoke was coming from the inside of my computer. I immediately turned it off but the damage had been done...I think I may have plugged a cable in the wrong place.

It was time to upgrade, anyway. I went to the store and got a new motherboard, CPU and ram (since ddr4 was what my new motherboard and CPU needed).

Now it boots! I get a display! All the fans and internal lights are on. When I go in the BIOS, I can use my mouse and keyboard and mess around with the options.

However, when I go past that and try to get into windows, I get two options:

1. Boot windows normally

This leads to a slight loading then an immediate bsod and reboot

2. Launch startup repair

This launches startup repair normally but as soon as I reach the first screen, my mouse and keyboard turn off!

So here I sit, in quite a pickle. I tried all the various kinds of safe modes but they all lead to a bsod. The only thing that works is the system restore but I can't use mouse and keyboard!

What should I do in a situation like this? Any kind of help would be appreciated.

My specs:

Motherboard: Gigabyte AB350 gaming

Cpu: amd Ryzen 3 1200

Gpu: GeForce 750ti

Psu: antec ea-380d 380w

You must set BIOS properly to install Win 7.
- Your new MB is a UEFI-GPT and the old a Legacy - MBR.
- Disable fast boot and secure boot (May be as OS=other or CSM).

- I strongly recommend to do a clean install - Clean Install Windows 7 - Windows 7 Help Forums
- You will have to clean your disk to install Win 7. This means that your disk will be erased.
- My recommendation is to install Win 7 on a 128 or 256G SSD and use the HDD for data.
- Disconnect all other HDD leaving on ONLY the target disk.
- New MB don't have USB 2.0 and Win 7 installation disk doesn't have USB 3.x drivers (that is why you don't have mouse and / or keyboard). You must add the drivers to the Win 7 installation disk.

Edit: You have 5 x USB 2.0/1.1 ports (1 port on the back panel, 4 ports available through the internal USB headers) Connect your keyboard and mouse to them.
