I'm looking for a tip of a free partition recovery program. ->Solved<-

Hello everyone :)

My problem is that i messed up the partition table on my laptops HDD. :o :o :o
Three of five partitions is gone, and i did it with Linux Gparted when i tried to remove read protection on the Win10 HDD and at the same time try to learn how to use Linux.. So now I have used Linux around 15-20 hour totally in my life, and all ready i messed up one drive.. :picnic:
The drive has two partitions i want to rescue.. One win8 Recovery partition. and one win10 Recovery partition. The third i don't care about.. it's only a win10 installation on.

So I think i am going to use my windows 7 desktop to undo the damage I did on my laptops HDD.
I have some old recovery programs that are great, but that's just the problem, they are so old that they can't handle some newer hard disk partitions and UEFI modes and so on..
And a big yes ... I will use less sensitive hardware in future Linux lab tests. :doh:
So any tip of a Recovery program Free to use and with HDD-partitions Recovery functions and it's data.?

You could try a free trial of EaseUS Partition Manager -- https://www.easeus.com/partition-manager/

I haven't ever used this program, and I haven't recovered a partition in a very long time. I did a partition recovery once in my life, a long time ago. It was amazing -- everything that was on the drive, and had been deleted, came back. The reason I did partition recovery on the drive was because my boss sold me the drive, and I suspected that he got it out of my work computer and then sold it to me as a new drive. Once I had recovered the partition then unformatted the drive, I saw all of my work files on the drive!

For future reference, you should always create a Backup Image, before experimenting with system files, Windows & Driver updates, or in this case, HDD/SSD storage setups. :geek:

There are various Free Imaging programs available.
I prefer to use Macrium Reflect Free Edition.

There isn't a Linux version, but if you are dual booting, you can run it in Windows and it will backup and restore Linux partitions as well as Windows ones.

Note:
My Linux installs use the EXT file system and I have successfully restored Linux partitions multiple times.

You should create a recovery CD/DVD/USB, which will allow you to create and restore Backup Images if your system won't boot into Windows.

Yes I know.. Backup, backup, backup.. I'm so used to deal with various Windows/DOS versions since 1988, I should have taught about it, given that I was trying to learn a new OS like linux.
But everybody does mistakes from time to time. :o:D
When I usually try out new things and to learn something new, I usually use a lab/junk computer that i don't care about if a catastrophic failure occur.. This time, I was a little too cocky and thought I could solve it without having clone hard drive first.

I am going to start a new thread about backup programs.. I spent four-five hours yesterday reading here in Sevenforums about backup programs. I have use NortonGhost for about 15 years, but i don't relay like it.*hahaha* So I think it's time to look on something new to use.

I've solved my problem late last night.. Or early this morning is more the truth... All of the disk partitions is rescued. Linux and the program TestDisk was the solution. And now is the read protection gone on the disk so i can extract all the information. :D

I used SystemRescueCD SystemRescueCd - Download
An .iso file and is booteble on USB or CD/DVD

Here is the same program but is runable in your OS
