Windows 7 Ultimate x64 SP1

I don't know much about hibernate, sorry. Check your RAM usage and other vitals (CPU/Disk in Resource Monitor) after you resume.

See if this is the case hibernate - Windows 7 is slow after resuming from hibernation - Super User

Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit SP1

Everything is fine with those.
The reply in the link basically says that it takes a lot of time for windows to recover from hibernation, but I don't see how this would affect page load times. It's not your fault though, thanks for the link.

Windows 7 Ultimate x64 SP1

I will post if I come up with any more ideas :) I wonder, however, if you can get speeds back if you clear RAM manually (supposed to be reset when you restart/shutdown)

Try RAMMAP from Sysinternals - and "Empty" the various options to see if any would speed things up. (May cause instability, so be ready to reset the PC if so)

Interesting that when it is slow and I run rammap then hibernate + start it becomes fast! :)

I unwillingly found the culprit some time ago, it was G Data internet security (antivirus).
When I stopped it's processes with processhacker and started it again, pages loaded fast.

Now I am using different AV, so the problem is gone.
If you are reading this and having the same antivirus you could consider tweaking the real time internet scanning options or ask G Data.
