Copying winre.wim from the recovery folder to the new7x64upd folder did it, it worked fine. Thanks very much.
Initially, after booting to the rescue usb, the software did not display my raid 0 boot disk, so i recreated the rescue usb but this time when the add drivers prompt appeared i added the enterprise raid divers, in my case version 3.8.1.1006 25/09/2013 for Sabertooth X79 motherboard. Then when i booted to the rescue usb i could see my raid 0 disk partitions c: and d:.

The software recognised Macrium Reflect and AomEI Partition assistant and put shortcuts on the desktop, I ran EAssos PartitionGuru from the E: drive. Each program worked as it should. I am going to make backups of my raid0 boot disk from all three and then restore each one so i will be confident to do it should things go wrong.

I like the win7 desktop layout, it makes it much easier to find files and programs. I ran each of the utility programs but i will need to read up on each one to get the best use out of them.

You are welcome. It would also work if you put boot.wim or winpe.wim in the new7x64upd folder.

If you post your raid drivers in a .zip file, I may include them in next version.

To get the best performance I needed to install drivers which supported trim (v3.8) so I modified my bios
version 4801 and replaced the Intel RAID ROM module with version 3.8.0.1029, to do this I used UBU ver 1.64 and replaced mmtool v 5.0 with version 4.50.0.23. Then I installed the nearest matching raid driver version 3.8.1.1016 into the Win7 OS.

I downloaded the complete Intel RSRe AHCI/RAID drivers and software from Fernandos web site Intel RST/RSTe Drivers (newest: v15.2.0.1020 WHQL/v4.5.4.1030 WHQL). Under download links click the spoiler under option C. My original motherboard raid drivers were ver 3.0.0.3011 16/03/2011 so i stayed with 3.xx branch of drivers. The RSTe software is version 3.8.3.1016 but the installed raid driver is v3.8.1.1016, When installed I enabled write-back cache and then uninstalled the RSTe software as the OS retains the setting, again this info is on the above page on Fernandos site.

I added the folders AHCI\x64\ to C:\new7x64upd\BIN\DRVRSx64\INTEL\ and then copied the following files:
iastora.cat, iaStorA.inf, iaStorA.sys, iaStorF.sys and iaahci.cat, iaAHCI.inf,from the folder \Intel RSTe Drivers & Software Set v3.8.3.1016\Drivers\win7\AHCI\x64\ and pasted them into the C:\new7x64upd\BIN
\DRVRSx64\INTEL\AHCI\x64\ folder. The iStorB.xxx files are only needed for sSATA controllers so I did not copy them.

I then recreated the rescue usb and added the raid drivers when the the add drivers prompt came up. On booting to the usb I could see my raid 0 partitions.

The enterprise v 3.8.1.1006 AHCI/raid drivers are attached here View attachment AHCI_RAID.rar. These drivers are only suitable for X79 motherboards, check the above link for details
