Thanks for checking with the MalwareBytes team and clarifying the issue. It makes sense given the seriousness of detecting/removing rootkits that they would not be part of a Hyper Scan. I'll pass this along in the MBAM thread at Wilders![]()

Thanks as well for posting about the new build (2.1.8) that was released today, replacing 2.1.7.
(The only difference between 2.1.7 and 2.1.8 is a fix for a crash-during-scanning bug that a few folks had reported with build 2.1.7.)
As before, release of 2.1.8 is throttled and provided only via the program auto-updater at this time.
Revised product documentation (such as a new User Guide) AND a standalone 2.1.8 installer will be available soon.
