Is Windows 7 . . .
- x86 (32-bit) or x64 ? x64 - the original installed OS on the system? Yes.
- an OEM or full retail version? OEM - I bought it refurbished, so I'm not sure.
- What is the age of OS installation - It came preinstalled when I bought it.

Well, I was watching browsing the internet and all of the sudden I get this blue screen error. I just had my computer repaired 5 days ago due to constant BSoD errors and had my Memory and Motherboard repaired, so I'm hoping the problem is not reoccurring. BSoDs used to occur about 10 times per day before the repair.

Today I just had this one blue screen. I just want to know if this just a random BSoD or if my computer broken again.

Attached is my minidump, thanks for the help.

memory exception probably caused by a driver. Please run these two tests.

Download a copy of Memtest86 and burn the ISO to a CD using Iso Recorder or another ISO burning program.

Boot from the CD, and leave it running for at least 5 or 6 passes.

Just remember, any time Memtest reports errors, it can be either bad RAM or a bad motherboard slot.

Test the sticks individually, and if you find a good one, test it in all slots.

Driver verifier

I'd suggest that you first backup your stuff and then make sure you've got access to another computer so you can contact us if problems arise. Then make a System Restore point (so you can restore the system using the Vista/Win7 Startup Repair feature).

In Windows 7 you can make a Startup Repair disk by going to Start....All Programs...Maintenance...Create a System Repair Disc - with Windows Vista you'll have to use your installation disk or the "Repair your computer" option at the top of the Safe Mode menu .

Then, here's the procedure:
- Go to Start and type in "verifier" (without the quotes) and press Enter
- Select "Create custom settings (for code developers)" and click "Next"
- Select "Select individual settings from a full list" and click "Next"
- Select everything EXCEPT FOR "Low Resource Simulation" and click "Next"
- Select "Select driver names from a list" and click "Next"
Then select all drivers NOT provided by Microsoft and click "Next"
- Select "Finish" on the next page.

Reboot the system and wait for it to crash to the Blue Screen. Continue to use your system normally, and if you know what causes the crash, do that repeatedly. The objective here is to get the system to crash because Driver Verifier is stressing the drivers out. If it doesn't crash for you, then let it run for at least 36 hours of continuous operation (an estimate on my part).

If you can't get into Windows because it crashes too soon, try it in Safe Mode.
If you can't get into Safe Mode, try using System Restore from your installation DVD to set the system back to the previous restore point that you created.
sed by a driver. please run these two tests.

Hi -

The sole dump did have exception 0xc0000005 = memory access violation; could be RAM, 3rd party driver; possibly the firewall -
Code:
[font=lucida console]ehdrv.sys                   Thu Dec 09 00:29:58 2010 (4D006956)

Epfwndis.sys Thu Dec 09 00:26:06 2010 (4D00686E)

http://sysnative.com/0x1/DriverReference.html#eamonm.sys

Make sure ESET ESS installation is current v4.2.71.2 - http://www.eset.com/us/download

See if the Driver Verifier flags any 3rd party drivers.

Driver Verifier - Driver Verifier - Windows 7 & Vista - sysnative.com - MVP

Driver Verifier needs to run 24 hours minimum or until it BSODs your system, whichever is less. Then . . .

Provide full system info - BSOD Posting Instructions - NT6x

Also, run - http://www.piriform.com/speccy
- "File" | "Publish Snapshot" | Paste URL into your next post

I've seen Manycam leave screens blue before -
Code:
[font=lucida console]ManyCam_x64.sys             Thu Mar 13 03:46:01 2008 (47D8DBB9) - ManyCam virtual webcam
TuneUpUtilitiesDriver64.sys Thu Sep 17 07:54:52 2009 (4AB2238C) - TuneUp Util 2011[/font]
http://sysnative.com/0x1/DriverReference.html#ManyCam_x64.sys
http://sysnative.com/0x1/DriverReference.html#TuneUpUtilitiesDriver64.sys

I would ditch TuneUp Utilities 2011; nothing to tune up on Windows 7 x64.

Ditch the virtual webcam too.

My Computer

OS
Windows 7 - Vista
Ran the MEMTEST-86 for 5 hours and had 5 passed. Removed TU 2010 and Manycam. ESET is up-to-date.

Here's the speccy requested link.
http://speccy.piriform.com/results/tUSoEZFrjuvIIkYRw2AK8El

I will be running driver verifier over night and while I'm at school.
I have completed the test and got a BSOD.

BSOD appeared right after I ran VMWARE. I uninstalled it and am now using VirtualBox to see if it makes any difference.

Note: The old minidump files are compiled into the PC Health test. As mentioned in my initial post, I brought the computer to HP repair. There is/could be a possibility the BSODs I'm getting now and before might be a different problem. Just a heads up, thanks.

Hi -

See how things go now that VMWARE gone. It was among the probable causes listed, as was KIS and possibly video.

Update ATI video -
