I have recently noticed that my computer is running from 16 to 18 different processes of svchost at once, and without running any programs uses 30% of my RAM.

That screenshot was taken when running nothing but Opera.

I have scanned my computer with MalwareBytes and Kaspersky but neither found anything.

Any solutions/explanations?

Hi, welcome to the forums :)

I think that's normal as I have 11 at the minute and it increases/decreases as certain services are used or stopped.

Interesting. It's just that I was searching around on google earlier and the majority of people were saying that anything over 4-5 was unusual.

i've got 11 at the moment too, and as OS states above, other kick in and out when needed.

they are windows background services, and you don't have a problem, unless one of them decides to run 100%....

I currently have 15 instances running. That is perfectly normal. A single instance runs inter-related routines, i.e. routines that depend upon each other.
