2 Windows profiles at startup

I have a Dell 8100 Elite Small Farm Factory desktop computer that I decided to do a fresh Win7 install on. The problem is that when it boots up it goes to a dual boot screen that lists 2 Windows 7 option for me to choose. I have found a work around by setting the time to display the list of operating systems to 0 in the Start Up and Recovery section of computer properties. However, I do not want a work around, I want to get rid of the second Windows 7 option but have been unable to find a way to do it.

Please advise.

You run a small farm factory with that Dell?

Did you delete all partitions besides the OEM Diagnostics (if it runs from boot) during reinstall as advised in Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7?

If not I'd do it over to get the cleanest install possible, and following the steps which assure a perfect reinstall.

First reboot and tap the F12 key to try running Diagnostics to see if you should even keep that partition. Let them run all the way through.

I said it was a Dell 8100. I don't know why I said that. It's an HP 8100. Anyway, thank you for the help. I will follow your link and redo everything via the directions.

The note at the end of the tutorial suggests ways to deal with the HP OEM partitions. If it's recent enough you may have a Minimal Recovery option which is nearly a Clean Reinstall. Otherwise be sure to make your Recovery disks then its up to you if you want to keep it and the other partitions. I always delete all during reinstall to get all the disk space and the cleanest install.
