Well guys i dont want to scare anyone
but in theory i have the RTM or Gold version
and i have the same issue as everybody
i have an ATI card with the latest drivers and no luck
solutions are very welcome

Well, i didnt had time to format to the final build yet, but i´ve seen it happening on other machines with build 7600 inside. Im still crossing my finguers, because none of theese machines had an HD 4890 inside like mine has. Also, i have very low expectations about this. :huh:

I have a nvidia gtx260 and also get 59Hz. Actually it's more like 59.9x. I've had this happen with ATI cards also. I have a 60hz option but whenever I select it it always resets to 59.

As far as I can tell it affects nothing.

Happens to a lot of people, if you scroll through the thread. And yes, results in serious artifacts and/or other problems aswell.

like washed colors, artifacts or just the game getting stuck
Windows 7 is awesome, but this is a major flaw
i hope they fix this quickly

Yes, but none of that problems seems to be related with refresh rate, my friend. Artifacting yes, with pixels not being refreshed properly. But stucks and strange colours, thats due to other problems. :huh:

And all you folks reporting this stuff have tried your games with 60Hz and there were zero problems right?

To once again ignite the flames of discussion, do refresh rates really matter when it comes to LCD's? Lot's of opinions on this as well as vertical sync.

I run with vertical sync on which forces 60Hz because games are more fluid. For benchmarking I turn it off.

As most mentioned, Windows gives me 2 options: 59 or 60. Even attempting to "force" at 60hz it still reverts to 59. However, the monitor itself shows it at 60hz. In this case, I think I believe the monitor. Irregardless, I see no degradation in the games I play.

I haven't had a single problem with games regarding this non issue, I really think people need to stop worrying about this unless they themselves have a legitimate issue because of it.

I will not stop to worrying about, as long as i dont get things as they were in Vista (in any version, beta or not), so if you dont have problems with this, good, but that doesnt mean thats the same for everyone. Its not only games that have refresh rate problems, but im tired of re-typing stuff 3 or 4 times, you people have to FULLY read the threads and then post some opinions, not reading the 2 last pages.
