6144 MB ram, but laptop only using 2045 MB (Help please!)

Hello, I have 6 GB DDR3 ram (6144 MB) installed on my Acer V3-571 laptop which is running Windows Home Premium 64-bit. My problem is it says total physical memory available is 2045 MB but does recognise that there is 6 GB installed.

I just wanted to know how i can use all my ram, iv looked at everything and tried everything i found but nothing has seemed to work.

Can someone please help me?

Windows 7 uses ram when it is needed. To give you a idea of how Windows is using your ram go to Resource Monitor and at the top tick on memory and look for this.
