64 bit driver for 32-bit windows

Hi every one
My friend's laptop is Dell Inspiron 1564.As you may know,dell has supported driver only for '64 bit windows 7' and the OS My friend's laptop is windows 7 32-bit.
What we can do now?Is it possible to install 64-bit drivers for this windows(which is 32-bit)?
anyway,a 64-bit windows is NOT accessible for us.
Could you help us?

the vista 32bit drivers should run fine for you , maybe try installing in compatability mode

Device drivers designed for the 64-bit version of Windows won't work on computers running a 32-bit version of Windows.

I was thinking the same thing. After looking at the driver list id be very surprised if you couldn't find 32bit drivers for the individual pieces of hardware ..... and even more surprised if Windows 7 install all the correct drivers for you by itself.

If you cant find 32bit W7 drivers for the devices, try the Vista 32bit drivers as sometimes they work on W7.

You might want to contact Dell. They might be able to send you an install disc. Are you upgrading to 7 from either xp or Vista? or did you need to do a fresh install and not have discs?

Other than those questions, you might have to check each piece of hardware to find the correct drivers one by one.

Hi, see if the machine is capable of running 6bit to start with.

To run a 64-bit version of Windows, your computer must have a 64-bit-capable processor. To find out if your processor is 64-bit-capable, do the following:

1. Open Performance Information and Tools by clicking the Start button
   
   , clicking Control Panel, clicking System and Maintenance, and then clicking Performance Information and Tools.
2. Click View and print details.
3. In the System section, you can see what type of operating system you're currently running under System type. Under 64-bit capable, you can see whether you can run a 64-bit version of Windows. (If your computer is already running a 64-bit version of Windows, you won't see the 64-bit capable listing.)

If dell only provides 64-bit drivers, the laptop must be 64-bit compatible. I'm assuming that you guys have some hardware that you are trying to add which comes with a driver that doesn't support 64-bit and that is the reason to move back to 32-bit Windows???
