Does anybody know when Adobe are going to sort their sorry excuses for lives out and release a version of 64 bit flash that will work on windows. it cant be that hard considering the Linux version was available 6 months ago!!!
its really annoying me using ie8 - 64 cos its just so quick and then having to switch to a 32 bit browser when i come to a site that uses flash!

I'm going to take a guess on this one.
I'm betting we will see 64bit Flash when Windows 7 hits stores, maybe a few weeks before hand.

Adobe don't want to release a 64bit flash plugin for Windows.

Flash can be used in 64bit applications already and I dont know why they have been stalling on a release. This application used less than 120 lines of VB.net code and it was able to load flash.ocx into a 64bit runtime

Adobe appear to be hinting at a possible 64-bit version with their next major release (version 11).

version 10 was first released in Oct 2008 with an update in Feb 2009.

Interesting paragraph from Wikipedia:

development. They have been developing since 2005 a x64 edition of the Flash Player. In 17 November 2008, Adobe released an alpha version of Flash Player 10 for x86-64 Linux. They have stated that alpha releases for Mac and Windows will come in future pre releases.[12] Adobe said it will optimize Flash for use on ARM architecture (ARMv6 and ARMv7 architectures used in the ARM11 family and the Cortex-A series of processors) and release it in the second half of 2009. The company also stated it wants to enable Flash on NVIDIA Tegra, Texas Instruments OMAP 3 and Samsung ARMs.[13][14] Beginning 2009, it was announced that Adobe would be bringing Flash to TV sets via Intel Media Processor CE 3100 before mid-2009.[15] Later on, ARM Holdings said it welcomes the move of Flash, because "it will transform mobile applications and it removes the claim that the desktop controls the Internet."[16] However, as of May 2009, the expected ARM/Linux netbook devices had poor support for Web video and fragmented software base.[17]

It seems to me that the PC is very low down on their priorities.
