Hi while you are waiting Type into the start/ search, Dxdiag click on it and run it and see if it tells you that you have any problems. Try it and see.

From your description, I understand that you had installed Windows 7 Home Premium on your computer. Your system freezes when it wakes up from sleep mode and you have reinstalled Windows 7 also, which it did not make any changes.

I also understand that you can install Windows 7 64-bit on your computer for the requirements of the computer for installing Windows 7 64-bit on your computer your system must have some hardware requirements so please click the below link to see if the system meets the require for windows 7 or not

I want to inform you one thing regarding Windows 7 64-bit you have to a custom installation because there is no upgrade path available for upgrading from 32-bit to 64-bit
The issue regarding sleep seems to have occurred because of display drivers are corrupted or power management is not configured properly

I understand the inconvenience you have experienced. Please be assured that we are here to support you for Windows 7 and we will see that the issue is resolved. In the due course of time, if we find out that the issue is with the non-Microsoft hardware or software, you will have to contact them in this regard.

Please follow these steps, and do contact us if you have any questions.
Step 1: Update the Display Adapters

1. Click on Start, type Device Manager in the Start Search -> Push Enter
2. This would open the Device Manager window.
3. Double Click on Display Adapters to expand. You will find the name of the Display Adapter (For Ex. NVIDIA, ATI, Intel etc.)
4. Right click on device and choose Update Driver Software
5. Now click on Search automatically for the updated driver software.

Windows will search your computer and the internet for the latest driver software for your device.

If the Step 1 does not work, go ahead with Step 2.

Step 2: Uninstall and let Windows 7 install the Display Adapters

1. Click Start à Type Device Manager in Start Search à Push Enter
2. Open Device Manager à Under Display Adapters, remember the Name of the Display device.
3. Now, close the Device Manager
4. Click Start à Control Panel à Programs and Features
5. Look for the installed program which is same as the one mentioned in the Device Manager under Display Adapters
6. If you find any, go ahead and uninstall them. By this way, we are actually uninstalling the driver software for your Display device.
7. Now, close the Programs and Features window and open Device Manager again (follow Step 1)
8. Uninstall the Display device mentioned under Display Adapters (Right click on it and choose Uninstall)
9. Restart the computer and let Windows 7 install the drivers for the Audio Device.

If Step 2 does not resolve the issue, please proceed with Step 3.

Step 3:- Reinstalling the power management.

1. Click Start. Type devmgmt.msc in Search Programs And Files and press Enter.

  1. Click View and select Show hidden devices.
  2. Click the plus (+) sign next to System Devices.
  3. Right-click the ACPI related entries and select Uninstall.
  4. Restart the system.
  5. Allow the System to reinstall the uninstalled devices.
If Step 3 does not resolve the issue, please proceed with Step 4.

Step 4:- Setting power plan to high performance.


  1. Click on Start, type Power Options in Search Programs And Files box and press Enter.
  2. Under the "Additional plans" section, select High Performance, then click on "Change plan settings".
  3. Then set the time for sleep mode, and save the changes.

I would request you to contact the computer manufacturer if the hardware on the computer is compatible for installing the 64 BIT, as the computer manufacturer's would be the best people to perform a hardware diagnostics and inform you, if you can install Windows 7 64 BIT.

LOL im still trying to download this audio thing from gigabyte it stops download half way through.

Anyway the freezing seems to have stop so thats good.

Are the blue screens gone? HOw about the wake up hang?

Did you follow the MS troubleshooting steps above?

Need to try them one at a time and not move on until you test if they work.
 
Well i dident try Microsoft soulitions.

The hanging seems to be gone

Dont know how the blue screens, i waited about 30mins - 60mins be4 using IE.

im going to email them asking about the delay from wake up, as sometimes it isent instant wake up
