Solved 8-Core, overclocked machine slow...

I wouldn't bother with the RAMDrive, it was intended to speed up HDDs, your SSD should be fast enough on it's own.
I was going to add this recommendation as well, once it was marked solved, but I'll add it now. SSDs aren't as brittle as once thought, so there's no harm in using them the way you'd use a normal drive. It's never made sense to see people buy an SSD and then try to use it as little as possible.

First of all, I'm CHEAP! I still use my FIRST HD over 1 Gig [it was a 12] as my boot drive for my server. I WILL get my $200 out of it!

I'm not trying to use it as little as possible. I'm trying to use it in a way that will allow me to show off the FAST machine. I'm trying to fill it with stuff that's more read that written. Not difficult for me, considering MOST of my data folders [Desktop, Docs, Pics, Music, etc]

Second of all, I'm stingy. I don't like buying things I already have. [See cheap]

Eventually, it will probably end up as my boot drive for my server, once it's ready to be retired from the living room PC, but I'm hoping this machine is fast enough to be used for a long time...

I think that 1% gain is worth it right now...

Are you still using the Ram Drive?

Yes. Since 16Gigs over 12 would not make a difference for my home, I think I will continue to use the RAMDrive.

I am very glad to hear that the SSDs are not as fragile as once thought, but I'm still going to treat it as such. I hope it will keep the drive usable MUCH longer than expected, as I don't think I will ever think "It's too slow" to keep...

I don't baby my SSD no more than I would baby a hard drive. Mine is warranted 5 years no mater how much I use it. If your SSD is made correctly it will last. I still don't recommend using a Ram Drive at least until you get your problem solved. I could run us all in circles.

A RAM drive unless set up right will lose its data at every boot too. It can be set to write its data to a physical disk at boot and then re-write to the RAM disk. Where does the RAM disk write and read its data from?

I made a disk image when I first set it up, it has folders in it and nothing else...

All data stored is either TEMP or cache, so it is not missed any time it is powered up again...

I never write new copies to the SSD

Did you test with OCCT?
It makes a loud noise if it fails, hard to miss unless you are away from your computer.
Not sure if it will close itself after a certain time, as I usually keep a watch on stability tests.
Look in C drive > Users > (your user name) > My Documents > OCCT for the graphs it generates.
Post them all here.
For posting the information , enter 'Snipping tool' in the Start button > Search box, hit enter. Select the area you want to post and save to a convenient place.
How to Post a Screenshot in Seven Forums

Post the CPUZ 'Memory' and 'SPD' tabs.
One pass of memtest86+ won't tell you much, better to install the RAM and see if it will boot.
Is your BIOS still set to run the RAM at 800MHz (actual 1600MHz)?
