Solved A problem with the desplay switch

The OS is Win7 Home 32bit. My flat screen digital tv will also work as an extended screen monitor for the laptop when I need the extura screen to put up instructions on the extura screen for when I am working on the main screen. I just re-formated the laptops hard drive because it got infected and I couldn't clean it out without whipping the partition and reinstalling everything. Windows is working just fine except for the display switch icon. I dbl click on the icon and it does nothing. The screen on the tv is stuck on the same screen as the laptop screen. I can't change the tv screen to extended screen mode. Other then that Windows is fine.

u can choose options within your VGA Control panels ---> set up mulltiple displays.

about detect another display monitor manually.

I solved the problem. I had to update the display driver. The display switch icon is now working. The extended display mode on the tv is now working
