Access 2003/2010 fix.

I have a corrupted mdb access file 61Mbytes. There seems to be many paid for programme 'fixes' around that will repair and extract the data, I can do that. BUT I cannot see a program that will actually REPAIR the database so you can double click it and get the original programme to work. Anyone have any suggestions.

Trouble is the file doesnt stay open for me to use any compaction or repair facility in access.

Thanks, one of the problems is that I am trying to fix the file on W7/2010 when it was created on a computer XP/2003, so I will try repairing it on the computer that it originated on. I have several computers, its just that the W7 one is faster! Thanks for suggesting things to try. Mike
