Solved Accidentally deleted operating system partition !!!!

Yep Jumanji mate I just thought maybe worth a try as I know the clean has wiped everything as er my opening statement.

Yes he clearly states that he installed Windows 7 in post #17

And did I not already say to try Partition Wizard in reply #18 ???

I feel that the OP should run Partition Recovery Wizard full Scan from the bootable PW and check whether it shows the lost/deleted partition/s. He can double click on those lost/deleted partitions and check whether it shows any of his lost files. If it shows then he should recover the partitions by asking Partition Wizard write that partition table. His current partition will be lost and he will not be able to boot into Windows. But that is not an issue or the issue. Once the old partition table is written back, he can use any Live Linux , Ubuntu/Liucid Puppy/ mint / Peppermint or whatever to recover the files.

^@jumanji , I followed your instructions and was able to recover 1/2 of my partitions! Unfortunately, the primary partition ('C') was not found by the Partition Recovery Wizard. I'm guessing it was already overwritten by the Windows 7 operating system. But then again most of my important files were stored in ('D'). So thank you so much!

Glad you could recover the data in your D partition.

Yes, your freshly installed Windows has overwritten your old C drive.
Partition Recovery Wizard would have shown it as existing. When you select your D partition shown as lost/deleted and Finish> Apply, the existing C drive would get deleted. PW will show that as unallocated.
