I did a clean install of Windows 7 Professional SP1 64-bit earlier today in a friend's computer.
During the setup process, I accidentally typed in the administrator name that I use instead of the administrator name he uses.
I realize I can change the name in User Accounts, but that doesn't change the name in the C:\Users folder.
Is there an easy procedure for doing it?

These steps seem to have worked.

Type lusrmgr.msc in the search box, then press Enter.
The Local Users And Groups window will appear.
In the left pane, click Users.
In the right pane, right-click Administrator, then click Properties.
The Administrator Properties window will appear.
In the General tab, type in the name you want to use, then click OK.
Close the Local Users And Groups window.
Go into the Control Panel, then open the User Accounts window.
Click Change your account name.
Type in the name you want to use, then click Change Name.
Close the User Accounts window.
Restart the computer.

I was wrong about it working.
I did another clean install, which took about an hour.
All is good now.

Would this have worked?: Establish another admin level account and/or activate the built-in admin account. ReStart and log into either built-in admin acct or the 2nd admin acct. Completely delete the missed-named admin acct.

I did not say anything about renaming. I mentioned cranking up the built-in admin or creating a 2nd admin acct. After logging into either the built-in or the 2nd admin acct, you delete the 1st admin acct created with the wrong name.

RolandJS:
I've already done another clean install of Windows 7 Pro SP1 64-bit and updated it to January 2021.
I'll make note of your suggestion, just in case it happens again in the future.

I was also "writing" for those in the future who follow us, those in the future who encounter similar situations. They search the threads for solutions :) Your solution is an excellent one! Mine is good for some situations.
