Acer Aspire 5536 built-in mic not working

Today, I clean installed Windows 7 on my Acer Aspire 5536 and I noticed that my built-in mic isn't working

Any ideas anyone?

I think the mic is actually controlled by the modem in that model.

Enter your model information then select win 7 x64 and download and install everything listed under the driver tab.
You may want to hit application tab and download the camera stuff too, as it may also be related to sound.

I installed the audio driver and that fixed the problem of my mic not working but now my sound is crackly/fuzzy and makes my computer lag.

Try uninstalling it, rebooting and let Windows reinstall it. hopefully you saved the driver file.

Try a Simple Plug And Play Test, Build in Mic's Nour Day's are Most Likely Allready Damaged when Packaged or Low Quality or Slow, If Slow it will not Function to Detect the Voice. If Not that Try a Sound Driver Update Just From You're Manufactor. HopeFully that will Help

If all fails Buy a Cheap Desk Microphone for 5 Dollars/Pounds/Euro's.
