No it is only the chipset 9.1.1.1019 the one to grab is the SATA AHCI v8.9.0.1023....I mean both of them!


EDIT:
You could try to reinstall this small Application from Acer, to manage the keyboard shorcuts:
LaunchManager Dritek LaunchManager Application 2.0.1.218 - 3.1 MB 2009/12/15

It doesn't unactivate windows 7 ones, but since it's Acer made for enabling Apps to run, could help.

Plus download the v 8.9.0.1023 SATA AHCI, and at least your intel chipset & controllers (Usb/Disk) will be updated.

After you get those installed.. Download and install this list of drivers...

I'm not sure of some of your other drivers. Can you remember what touchpad drivers were installed on your PC previously (ALPS, Synaptics, or Elantech)

RoomNine, i know it is a lot of hassle for a camera built-in....

Try to have alook here at the registry (see attached thumbnails for path):
Click Start=> Run => (type) regedit, open the cmd prompt windows, scroll your list to the path at see what kind is listed. "Chicony" "Suyin" or "Liteon"

I agree going through this the first time can be overwhelming. Once you get it finished this time, you will be a bit more confident the next time you have to do this.

If you feel overwhelmed, take a few breaths and walk away for a few minutes. Come back and continue on.

So, that's why it doesn't work...since you reinstall, the software Acer Crystal Eye got wiped. Now, is left in device manager the HD Video WebCam.

We just have to find the right one brand!!

The prob he might got, is, it is no acer driver, but Windows 7 drivers...only the "Acer Crystal Eye" Software could start/launch the WebCam Application to work properly, even if it appear Ok in Device Manager

I suggest you at the moment to make that Acer Crystal Eye, the very last prob on the list. Update your Os and make it enjoyable as far you can do then we'll find a workaround...or maybe you will.

OK... if your camera has issues... may be driver problem... as far as I know, there are NO drivers for windows 7, instead, windows 7 install a driver for it, but the bad point is that the driver is deficient, so your best chance is to get the original OEM drivers that came with your PC.

If you don't have them, I have a set of OEM drivers for my Aspire 4535 (that I backed up before doing a clean install of W7 Pro without all the bloatware) that uses the same camera as your Aspire One... the model is Chicony. This driver includes the utility to see your webcam without the need of the messenger or other stuff.

If you need it you can download from here:

Execute ONLY the "setup.exe" file, nothing more, the rest are scripts for the Acer recovery system auto install feature...

I hope this can help you.

Anyway... you can try recovering the OEM software that came with your Aspire One... why don't you try Recuva, this utility can help you recover deleted files (even from formatting the HDD) do a scan in your C: drive, the important stuff may be located in a folder called Preload, and inside, a folder called OEM...

Alright. Sorry I've been gone for a bit. I had to switch to my desktop for now because the netbook completely quit working on me. I'm currently in the process of getting it rebuilt from a guy I work with. He's going to completely redo everything and install Windows 7 Ultimate for just over $100. Not bad if you ask me, but I still dont know if the camera will be working then. He's going to try his best to fix the USB ports so I'll report back here when I get the word. Thanks for all your help guys. I'll let you know what he says and what he found out.

Hey, glad you find a "Solution Guy" for that price, there's no reason he couldn't fix it after that full 7 Ultimate install. This will wipe everything and might wipe the wrong driver installed.
