Acer Laptop: Switchable Graphics using i7 & AMD Radeon

So boost it to 75% and keep it manual? Or..boost to 75% then go back to auto?

Again just personal choice but if playing an intense game, I would set it at 75% minimum manual to keep things cool. Then go back to auto when done just to save wear and tear on the fan. Don't think the auto works too well. MSI AfterBurner program also has custom fan settings where you can set your own temp/speed.

This thread has been a huge help. I was able to install the modded bios and the leshcat drivers without a problem. I do have one question, after I installed the leshcat drivers i noticed i no longer had the catalyst control center. Was this something i may have accidently not installed during the process or is it not included with the drivers?

Read his FAQ. Basically it is a matter of uninstalling ONLY CCC with the CIM then reinstalling it with CIM. May take a reboot.

Also, I would use the 12.3 or 12.2 packages. The 12.4 is not so good thanks to AMD.

Sounds like you haven't tried the modded BIOS yet.

Go a couple pages back, there's a link to it, follow the instructions and you'll be set.

whatever

I did, I tried these steps that i found from the previous posts.

Go here and download the Insyde -> A_A_7750_P5WE0117_UlkMenus_ByCamiloml.exe
Bios Mods Tools; - [http://www.bios-mods.com/BIOS]
After flashing then go into Bios settings and change the following:
Go into BIOS -> Advanced -> Video Configuration -> Pci Express Graphic -> Always Enable PEG [Enabled]
Go into BIOS -> Advanced -> Video Configuration -> Pci Express Graphic -> PowerXpress Setting [Muxed Fixed Scheme]
Restart

So you installed the BIOS and CCC..

Did you try right clicking to see if you can see the Configure Graphics Prop?..because when you're on Power Saver, CCC doesn't show up.

Which drivers are you using? When you go to Device Manager/Display adapters do you see both adapters or just the Intel?

Like Lak3rsFan said, right click on desktop. Do you see configure switchable graphics at top? Click on it if you do.

Go to the folder where you extracted the driver to. Run the setup program and choose Uninstall. Then the custom option and check mark only the Catalyst Control Center and uninstall it. Then start over and this time choose the Install option to re-install CCC.
Reboot and hopefully it is there.

Same problem as tempie, except now ccc won reinstall, whenever I try to install it says all components are up to date and doesn't even give option for ccc, when i run driver detect it says its incompatible even though everything matches up, eg 64-bit, radeon hd 6xxxM-series, etc. IDK what to do . Installed modded bios btw

Finally installed, but lots of missing options, including power. Doesn't matter how many times i uninstall and reinstall, which version, w/e, doesn't work.

Which drivers are you trying to install?

Try using Atiman uninstaller, it has worked for me in the past when I had similar problems. Atiman Uninstaller v.7.0.2.msi

I went back to normal bios, everything works like before now. I've decided not to bother, if a game comes out that I can't play on decent settings, I'll just build a desktop, and I'm never buying anything with an ATI card again, the price difference is just not worth the trouble.
