Click on Display Adapters then one of the adapters. Then the driver tab.

I'm on the 12.3 version 8.951.0.0 dated 3/8/2012.

Old, but I'm not going to tell you what to do. Have you experience with installing drivers? Leshcat has good instructions just follow EXACTLY.

Btw I thought it would be sweet to put a 64gb SSD in that extra bay for the OS.

So I would just remove the Radeon driver, and run that installer? I don't see a manual for it..

Yah, I've dealt with drivers before lol..

Edit, Found the manual!

Manual link is on the side bar. He has special uninstaller you must run and also have to enable DSE which he explains. You must disable UAC which I do anyway. I hate it.

Now I just need to know how to overlock this processor lol..

BTW: Popeye, noticed you have the same laptop as me, did you use the second HD bay? I wanna figure out how I can go about shaving the back part of the panel. Tried putting my SSD in there, but the parts of the panel that goes to the back of the laptop hit it :(.

I believe this is the panel but you may want to verify.

I verified it is the correct cover here. Out of stock and more expensive than first link.

Do the leshcat drivers fix the manual switching problem alone or must the modded BIOS also be installed?

I have done neither yet as I was able to successfully play D3 beta just by selecting "High Performance" with the default Acer BIOS 1.20 and default CCC drivers. But of course I am still curious. :p

No, you'll need the custom BIOS to switch.

I've been on both, and love it. Switch the high perf when gaming, and Intel when I'm watching shows or just browsing.

I'm not familiar with drivers but I would assume it's not incredibly difficult to switch back to the authentic drivers at a later time if necessary?

I'll do a little bit of reading on Leshcat site before I decide.

I assume the BIOS is also an easy reversal if necessary.

Hi everyone this is my first post.
Well I installed the moded bios and everything went great, now im using my the radeon HD 7670m as primary graphics card, but when I go to the switchable graphics option it just wont let me switch to the intel one for power saving.
Is this normal? do I have to switch from bios for this?
I have the Acer Aspire 7750G-9810, I dont want any overheating and stuff for using the graphics card all the time.
If anything I can install the bios provided on the acer website right? (kinda new in this)

You do have CCC installed right? All you'd have to do is just Right Click Configurable Graphics Properties and just click on the Power Saver..

Or go into CCC, click on POWER-> Switchable Graphics and change it there.

This window right?

Just click on Power Saver, you gotta wait about a few seconds so it'll switch back and such.

If not, try installing Bios 1.20 from Acer, then reinstalling the new Mod. Bios. Make sure you select the right on..we have the same laptops, and I have no issues with it.

Also, you did change settings in BIOS right? After it boot, you were supposed to go into BIOS and make some manual edits.

Yes I do have the CCC and did the manual edits on the bios, but on that screen when I see the 2 buttons to chose power saving or high performance, when I click either one of those nothing happens, it just stays on high performance all the time, and I dont have the option for automatic power saving on battery like on your SS.
