acer x3400g help to overclock

i have a acer x3400g with a ami bios. amd athlon ii x2 225 3.1gtz.
i wanna overlock it for a temporarey time..

i wanna play 2 resident evil games on my computer with a gamecube emulator. so i need to poost it to play well.

plz any suggestions help...

ive never did such a thing,,, hopefully theres a tutorial...

Hi bud, If the power supply you have is the one listed in your specs then I would think long and hard about overclocking. Are you sure it's only 220 watts?

IF this is a laptop then the answer to this is don't overclock..Heat is a known issue with laptops so Overclocking is really not advisable, thats if Acer even allow it in Bios.

And as above 220watt? PSU? sounds suss to me.

You really won't see any benefit of overclocking with that system, and the cooling in the tower will NOT be adequate (if it isn't already).
If you want better performance, you would be better off picking up a better PSU and graphics card.

its not a laptop. and thank you guys. im getting a amd athlon ii x4 3ghz on newegg with can anyone help me find a decent power supply for this slim computer. i need 300 to 400 at least

I would recommend going with a good name brand, like Corsair or Antec. You don't need a hugely expensive one, but don't skimp on it either. The PSU is what provides the system with power, and if it's borked it can damage components or just not work.
