I'm trying to install Acro X (home and student verision) from the DVD. This is not a download; this is the retail version.
It installs 99% of the way and then fails. 1st error 1909 and then 1303. They are permission errors.
I am the administrator and I'm using the admin account.
I have tried copying the disc to a folder and right clicking setup.exe to run as admin but it does not work.
I've tried changing Programdata folder to full permissions for admin.
EDIT: I uninstalled every Adobe program and folder. There are still instances where Adobe exists on the computer (appdata) but I cannot delete them. I found this out by searching for *adobe*.*
I ran the Acro removal tool which is supposed to scrub the PC but it says Acro is not installed.
I followed a tutorial and reveal an administrator account w/CMD. That failed.
I went through control panel and create a spanking clean admin account and that failed as well.
