Greetings from (sorta) sunny Wales![]()
They're fine - and exactly as would be expected.
The 0xC004F00F error is the important one here - it translates as 'The Software Licensing Service reported that the hardware binding is beyond the level of tolerance' - i.e. you've changed hardware, and this has brought up the error.
I would not have expected the MAC address alone to trip this, unless other significant changes were also made to the system.
Thanks for bothering!
). As for bothering, it's cool, no problem at all. I wanted to know what was going on too. They're fine - and exactly as would be expected.
FWIW, you can set the MAC address back to what it should be, and re-activate (it may need a phone call, but shouldn't be a problem, since you have a Retail licnese shoing in the report, and the phone line is a Freefone one).
Up to you how you want to proceed, but I'd do that, as it prevents any confusion later if you decide to use the Wireless NIC at the same time as this one (routers tend to look for MAC addresses rather than machine names).
(Careful - we might start agreeing too often, and then rumours will start....)

:roflmao:
I made you agree! My apologies!
