Where did you get your install media??
If you purchased it on the web, then you've been stitched up.

The code in use is for an MSDN subscription service. - PRO not Ultimate

There are also problems with the validation files

If you were supplied with install media with the key, i would have to say that the above was removed.

Thank you so much for your reply!! I downloaded the software from a CD. I have been able to do something that says I have three days for activation but it still gives me the same error. I’m trying to do anything that I can to keep from doing a clean install I have so much software loaded that I do not want to do this except at the last resort.Do you have any suggestions?

As i said before the key currently in use DOES NOT come with install media, CD.

I don’t really know where the key came from I had someone else build this computer for me. I thought they use the code from my Dell computer. The code that is in there now does not match the code on my retail package. But I want to use the code from my retail package.

Hi Kev,

I suspect your "Builder" used a non-genuine image.

The key that you are trying to use must be an OS match
ie Ultimate to Ultimate.

However you will NOT be able to enter it because you have removed the SLUI.exe files.

You will need to perform a repair install - NO loss of data

Once completed re-run MGAdiag, post the results

Programs Startup Problems

Before I did a fresh install of windows 7 I had two programs that started up automatically when I restarted my PC. Now I have to click the icon and open them myself and give windows permission can you help me to fix this?

Would be handy to know what they are.

Most 3rd party programs have a settings feature on their menu - you might only have to tick the box.

Are you talking about check the box in the start up programs? If you are they are all checked. None of my third-party programs are opening. I have a total of three of them.
