Activation of Windows 10 (clean install) from a Windows 7 Pro edition

Hello all,
I have a very specific question that i can not find an answer.

I bought a new pc and i want to buy Windows 10 Pro. I have found a very good price for a Windows 7 Pro license which will give me a free upgrade to Windows 10 Pro.

I will have the key in the following days but the pc is assembled and ready.

(1)Can i clean install Windows 10 Pro and activate it with the windows 7 pro key that has never been activated even for a windows 7 machine or
(2)should i first install windows 7 pro, activate it with the key and then clean install windows 10 and activate it with the windows 7 pro key

Hi Trod,
You can install W10 NOW and you dont have to activate it immediately, theres a 30 day grace period.
So when you get your W7 package you can activate it with the product key.

note your purchased W7 pro licence MUST be either System builder or retail or it will not activate

According to this it`s oem, never heard it referred to that way.

Had a look at the website, You will know more about that company than me.

if the key is one of the following then its a base FACTORY installed OEM key, and therefor non-genuine.

There are also other non-genuine codes being sold, the easiest way to check for these is to google the last 3 blocks of coding
and if there are multiple hits then its likely to be non genuine as well.

Just to inform you, i got the key and upgraded to Windows 10 Pro plus the key is not found if i google it.
