ad free PDF converter program?

Hey guys, i use excel and autocad at work and i currently use www.pdf995.com
which allows me to print my documents as a pdf so i can email it out to clients. But the problem is its full of advertising and pop ups. anyone know any free ones that is ad free?

Hey hastyle, The best PDF converter that I have used is MS office 2010. You create any file in Excel, word or make a PPT, save that file as .pdf and you automatically get a pdf out of it.

I like PDFCreator. I have full blown Adobe Acrobat Standard XI and I use PdfCreator more often than I use Adobe to create PDFs.

Been using PDF creator for years. Open source and excellent. You can also use either Open Office or Libre Office to create and print PDFs. Irfan View is another open source program will allow you to create pdfs. Lots of excellent choices. All free.

Curious. I've been using IrfaView for years and didn't know you could create PDFs from it. I just looked at the directions and didn't see anything about PDFs in there (of course, I may not have looked in the right places). How do you create PDFs using IrfanView?

Irfan View will make pdfs of graphic and photo files. It does not work with documents. The other software will make pdfs of documents too.

"Open with" Irfan View. The graphic, or photo will be in the window. Next, "save as" . PDF is among the choices. [Same can be done with Gimp. You can save any graphic or photo in Gimp as a PDF.]

PDF Creator also lets you combine one or more PDFs into a single document.

Thanks. Useful to know although 99% of the PDFs I create are from documents. I use Acrobat to combine PDFs.

i read pdf creater is full of malware on cnet. i use excel and autocad at work, irfan probably wont work for me.

I have used doPDF in the past. Don't recall ever seeing an ad. It works with the printer interface. You can activate it with CTL+P and then select it from the printer options.

Another option (which wokd similar like doPDF) you may consider is to use the Microsoft XPS Document Writer which is standard on any Windows system via the printer interface and can be read by any Windows - maybe not in IOS or Linux, never tried that.

I avoid Cnet when ever I can. It used to be reliable but the last couple of years, it has gone south.

I use NitroPDF reader and it installs a virtual printer so you can select any file and "print" it to a PDF.
